Franciscans celebrate solemnity of Corpus Christi

MERIDEN, CT (06-06-2010) –The solemnity of Corpus Christi commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist and is a day of particular importance for the Franciscan Sisters and Brothers of the Eucharist. Following a festive Eucharistic celebration, Reverend Michael J. Dolan, Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Hartford, carried the Blessed Sacrament in procession to three outdoor altars where he led the Franciscan Sisters and Brothers of the Eucharist and many lay faithful in exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
