Sisters' neighbors sponsor tree planting event

MERIDEN, CT (06-25-2012) - Neighbors who live on Suffield Court, Cheshire, adjacent to the Paul VI Center of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, joined together to replace the twenty-some trees damaged in last October's snow storm. All of the Bradford pear trees lining Suffield Court were ravaged by the heavy snow and had to be removed. The residents of Suffield Court quickly started a neighborhood campaign to replant the street and selected Milky Way dogwood trees as a more sturdy replacement for the flowering pear.
