POCATELLO, ID (04-16-2011) - The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist received the life commitments of five Franciscan Apprentices during a ceremony at the Sisters' Presentation Chapel in Pocatello. These men and women promise as lay faithful to live the spirituality of St. Francis and St. Clare as expressed by the charism of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. The following is their Statement of Commitment:

"As Franciscan Apprentices we are called and joyfully respond to the God-gift of Franciscan spirituality. We commit ourselves to our part of the Franciscan Mission to rebuild the Church by upholding its teachings as we live and work in the secular milieu, and by animating the secular order of family and professional life with the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare. We do this in complement with the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist as the centering Religious Body for our Franciscan lay vocations, and under the inspiration of St. Francis and St. Clare."
