Franciscan Common Venture
A collaborative effort of the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist with three other Franciscan communities is known as the Franciscan Common Venture. It began as a way of companioning the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis in Cameroon, West Africa, who sought assistance in the many needs of their apostolate. This joint project has brought about inter-congregational reconciliation and a mutual focus of positive inter-cultural relationship. The other congregations are the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, La Crosse, Wisconsin; the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Francis, Wisconsin; and the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis, Shisong, Cameroon.
In the twentieth year of the Franciscan Common Venture, the leadership teams of the three communities agreed that the original purpose of the undertaking had been fulfilled.
